WIKI-WIKI-WIKI-PEDIA
Have you heard Wikipedia has a lot of different modifications and could be used not only as the largest base of data? No?
Me neither...
As I found out wikipedia is not just a website with a bunch of information on everything, that surrounds us.
It is our oppoturnity to share something really interesting with others.
What I like the most, we are allowed to edit, to create our own pages there and feel as a part of something really huge and important.
Still, some people went further, and started using for educational purposes.
I made acquiantance with some projects and I'd like to comment on them.
First project, or it's better say "page", appealed to me, was Wikiversity. Why?
Well, I enjoy everything well-structured, as i understood this source is basically for education, but still if you are not a part of their community, you are alowed to reuse the information they ahre ther, to join the community and something of yours.
And while you are watching it, you want to surf ther for quite long.
It is quite useful and so easy to use. And if you have ever tried to create or edit something on Wikipedia itself, you 'll see that the tools are the same.
This WIKI-page is closely related to the main purpose of this blog— teaching English.
I found it useful as I'm working as a teacher and there are a lot of different methods and hints, which quite cognitive both for beginners and experienced teachers
Still, if compare 2 WIKI-pages, I would definitely use both of them, as it depends on what exacly you are looking for.
SO, if you are interested in teaching or education in general, I would recommend you to use these ones or do your own and interact with the students in such way
